What to say when asked what your kid is going to do now that he’s graduating.

•

My kids have both reached the age of maturity. I’m done being in charge of them. Now all I have to do is completely accept them as they are and forever. Who cares what path they choose for themselves? What business is that of mine or anyone else’s?

When I held each of them in my arms for the first time, I promised to do my best to help them grow into happy, kind, responsible people. My job is done. Now all that’s left is the love.

When people ask me how my kids are, I say they are great! They are choosing their own course and I am cheering them on. The rest is up to them.
