Now, more than ever, we must cultivate acceptance.

Being together 24/7 can be very challenging. We used to be able to take a break from one another occasionally in order to regroup, calm down, reconnect with ourselves before heading back into a challenging family circumstance. But with Stay at Home we can’t. So we need to cultivate our respect for each other and understanding of our differences. We are all born with distinct personalities that don’t always get along. During this time, especially, we need to practice mindfulness so that we can be careful with our words and be kind to one another.

The AWAKE Network is offering a free webinar Thursday, 4/23, with Meena Srinivasan to talk with families about using mindfulness to keep sane during uncertain times. This is a valuable resource with ideas to help strengthen your bond and acceptance of one another.

Let’s use this time of being “stuck” together as an opportunity to deepen our relationships and cultivate acceptance of each family member.
